PSYCHOANALYTIC PSYCHOTHERAPY IN SALISBURY, LONDON AND ONLINE

Ever wonder what keeps you stuck in life?

Explore patterns and discover new possibilities with psychotherapy

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy for adults in Salisbury and London, working in person, online, or by telephone.

You're here because something needs to change

Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety that follows you everywhere? Stuck in patterns you can't seem to break? Navigating loss, trauma, or transitions that have left you uncertain about the path ahead? Or maybe you're caught in cycles of self-destructive behaviour, or simply feeling lost about who you are and where you're going.

I'm Janine Cook, a psychotherapist currently completing my psychoanalytic training, and a trainee member of the UKCP. I offer therapy for adults in Salisbury and London, working in person, online or on the telephone. My approach is about understanding who you are, where you've been, and whether there might be another way of being. Together, we'll explore not just what's happening now, but the deeper patterns that shape your life.

"Psychotherapy doesn't give you a standard solution – it gives you time to find a solution that is right for you."

How Therapy Helps

Understanding Yourself More Deeply

In our sessions, you'll have the space to understand the patterns and experiences that have shaped you – and discover what authentic change looks like in your life.

Recognising Patterns and Reactions

Through our conversations, you'll begin to see why you respond to situations as you do, recognising the deeper currents that influence your choices and relationships.

Creating Lasting and Meaningful Change

This kind of self-awareness creates the foundation for meaningful transformation, helping you make decisions that feel genuinely yours rather than driven by old patterns or external expectations.

"Psychotherapy doesn't just reduce symptoms – studies show it also improves overall quality of life, with people reporting better mental health, relationships, and day-to-day functioning."

2016

What I Can Help With

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties, from everyday struggles with anxiety, sadness, and frustration to deeper, more complex challenges around identity, relationships, and self-destructive patterns.

Whether you're dealing with depression that feels overwhelming, trauma that continues to impact your daily life, addiction issues, the pain of bereavement and loss, or major life transitions that have left you feeling uncertain about your direction, therapy provides a safe space to explore these experiences. Together, we'll work to understand not just what's happening, but why it's happening, helping you find your own way forward.
